Privacy

This explains what Duit Lah records, where it goes, and how to get rid of it. It is written plainly on purpose. If something here is unclear, ask before you use the bot.

Who is responsible

Duit Lah is operated by Muhammad Amirul Azhan Bin Rashid, Selangor, Malaysia. For anything about your data, email amirul1998@gmail.com.

What is collected

• What you say about money. The amount, the merchant, the category, the date and which member paid.
• The transcript of your voice note. Kept deliberately, so that when the bot mishears you there is something to check the figure against.
• Your Telegram user id, display name and group id. Used to tell members apart in a shared ledger and to bill the right group.
• Documents you send. The file itself stays in Telegram’s storage. Duit Lah keeps a reference to it and the fields it read, such as an expiry date.
• Usage counts. How many voice notes and questions, so free limits can be applied.

What is not collected

Ordinary group chatter is not stored and is not read. Telegram requires a bot’s privacy mode to be off before it can receive voice notes in a group at all, so messages technically reach the bot. Anything that is not an expense, a question, a note or a document is discarded without being written down.

Who else sees it

Voice notes are sent to OpenAI to be turned into text, and to a language model to work out which part of the sentence is the amount. That is the only third party your content reaches. OpenAI does not train on data sent through its API.

Telegram necessarily processes every message, because the bot lives inside Telegram. Payments are handled by Telegram Stars; no card details ever reach Duit Lah.

Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared with advertisers. There is no analytics or tracking on this website and no third-party scripts beyond the font it loads.

How long it is kept

• Your ledger is kept. Accumulated history is the point of the product, so it survives a lapsed subscription. Losing a plan drops you to free limits and deletes nothing.
• The daily list is not. It is scoped to the day and pruned after a week, because a to-do list that remembers forever is not a to-do list.
• Everything goes when you ask. There is no quiet retention period.

Getting it out, or getting rid of it

Send /export to the bot and it returns every table that holds anything about your household, in plain CSV. Send /deletemydata and it erases the lot, cancelling any active subscription first so Telegram stops billing.

Members who leave a group are deactivated rather than deleted, so the spending they already logged still adds up. If you want your rows removed outright rather than deactivated, email and ask.

Cookies

This website sets two cookies, both strictly necessary: a session cookie and a CSRF token that stops forged form submissions. There is no advertising, analytics or profiling cookie, which is why there is no consent banner. The bot itself sets nothing; it is a chat.

Children

Duit Lah is meant for adults running a household. It is not directed at children, and no account is created for anyone.

Changes

If this notice changes in a way that affects what is collected or who sees it, the bot will say so in the chat rather than quietly updating this page.
